I am originally from the Philippines. I run a private tutoring practice, teach at the SF Go Club, and design workshops that mix philosophy, programming, and literature. My method is dialogue and patience; code gives you precision, while philosophy and literature give you clarity and a conscience.

Three places, one practice: I host classes at the SF Go Club in San Francisco; I run private 1-on-1 tutoring in programming, philosophy, and literature; and I organize small interdisciplinary workshops that bring all three disciplines into one room.

Workshops that refuse to keep the subjects in separate boxes: reading a Platonic dialogue and turning its argument into working code, or studying a novel alongside data structures that could model its narrative. They run in small groups as hands-on work sessions; announced to the email list first.

Sixty minutes, live, on Google Meet or Zoom. We work directly on your projects, reading list, or coding problems. It is hands-on problem solving, not a passive lecture; you leave each meeting with notes and concrete next steps.

Yes. Many students rotate month by month: Python in month one, Kant in month two, close literary reading in month three. Others blend them into one project, such as generative text or interactive narrative systems.

Welcome. No prior background needed. We start straight from first principles, skip the intimidation of jargon, and advance at a pace where real understanding and quiet joy can happen.

Foundational, durable tools: Python, modern JavaScript or TypeScript, the Unix terminal, and Git. We focus on durable mental models and clean abstractions rather than chasing ephemeral framework hype.

A relaxed, low-stakes diagnostic conversation. We talk through what you want to understand, build, or read; where you feel stuck; and whether our working styles harmonize. Zero sales pressure; if another resource is better suited to your goal, I will gladly point you to it.

Yes. Learning does not halt when the video call ends. Between weekly sessions, you have access to asynchronous review for code, essays, or reading interpretations, plus a shared notebook with curated references and exercises.

$250 a month for four weekly 60-minute sessions ($62.50 an hour), including asynchronous review and dedicated session notes. Payments are accepted via Zelle, Venmo, and major services. If cost is an obstacle, flexible arrangements are available.

If after our first month of mentorship you feel the lessons did not meaningfully advance your clarity of thought, coding ability, or philosophical grounding, let me know. I will refund your tuition in full. Keeping payment for unhelpful teaching would be a stain on my conscience.

Please provide at least 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule so that slot can be offered to someone waiting. Genuine emergencies are always handled with flexibility and kindness.
